Welcome!

Here is my home on the web. I hope you will find the information you are looking for. In a few words, my actual job is a PhD thesis at the EPFL on a Swiss National Science Foundation (NSF) project about exploring data mining opportunities in engineering. More particularly, the main goal of my research is to study the applications of recent advances in machine learning and data mining for diagnostic tasks in civil engineering.

Data mining has been widely applied in many domains. One field of application is engineering. For more technical information, you may be interested in some publications or material (presentations, posters, etc.) in my current research area. Out of my thesis, I have other professional activities. My curriculum vitae will soon be accessible as well.

If you are more generally interested in data mining research and applications, I recommend you to read and participate to Data Mining Research, my personal weblog (see below). Several researchers and data mining practitioners are reading it everyday.

You may also be interested in a website that contains advices for better ranking on search engines.

Finally, feel free to have a look at my data mining book reviews or my search engine book reviews I have written. I have also put a list of news site that I regularly check as well as free softwares that I find really useful.
